More than 1,000 metro Detroit residents were treated to a free holiday meal, and the nearly 600 children in attendance received several gifts, including winter hats, coloring books and crayons, Chevrolet Matchbox cars and candy canes donated by the GM Foundation. Mary Barra, CEO of General Motors, was one of the event presenters, and Detroit Pistons mascot Hooper and Detroit Lions mascot Roary were also in attendance.
